Artist description
Tyler Jensen is a 19 year-old student at New York University. He hails from Washington, D.C. where his parents still reside in a suburb of the city. His songs are produced by the likes of Steve Rhythm (who has written with and for P!NK, Christina Aguilera, *NSync, Jordan Knight, and Gina Thompson), Dave Hummel (engineer for many hip-hop artists and producer of Juana Rodriguez - another Mp3.com artist). Tyler co-wrote with Steve Rhythm to create "Devil in Disguise" and "It's Okay (To Love Me)". Dave Hummel wrote "Girl I Need You" for Tyler, and arranged and produced "Not So Innocent" and Tyler's signature song, "The Things I Could Not Say", both of which Tyler wrote himself. Tyler writes and produces all of his other music, and will soon be shopping for a publishing deal and a major label recording contract. |

Music Style
Tyler Jensen's music doesn't exactly fit into any category or genre. He blends bubblegum pop with hardcore street sounds and trip-hop beats. His smooth, yet incredibly powerful and soulfoul vocals are backed by driving rhythms and beats produced by Dave Hummel, the producer behind Juana Rodriguez, another #1 Mp3.com artist. |

Musical Influences
Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, *NSync, Missy Elliott |

Similar Artists
Tyler Jensen has a boy-P!nk/Christina Aguilera influence, but he definitely has a style all his own, backed by true and solid vocal talent. |

Artist History
Tyler started singing at age seven; he began at his parents dinner parties and worked his way to school fairs and other community events. He began to sing gospel songs and pop songs as son as he saw "The Bodyguard" starring Whitney Houston. Since then, he has mastered his vocal technique with the help of superstar-coach Don Lawrence (who works with Christina Aguilera, Bono of U2, Tracey Bonham, and Bon Jovi), and pens songs of his own that he belts out for anyone who'll listen. |
