Artist description
When "computer-based music" is mentionned, what usually comes to mind is either techno/dance or related styles, or ambient/new-age and related stuff... ...but guitar-based rock?!? Yet, this is what has been accomplished here, listen for yourself! Still, this style apparently not appealing to the masses, a turn towards the more traditionnal styles for this type of music seemed to be inevitable... |

Artist History
I started to experiment with computer-based music in 1997, first with MIDI sequences, and later on, towards the end of that same year, with the module formats. All of this culminated with a joint effort with Mike Wheeler from NY state called Project F... Critically acclaimed, the album Farewell to the Millenium didnt live up to commercial expectations, though... Rich from that experience, I therefore decided to re-master a few older pieces and added about as many previously unreleased stuff for an album first called Emotions, and later re-named Pot-Pourri. With the arrival of the year 2000, I decided to re-orient myself, style-wise, to the New-Age/Ambient style, and the album Quiet Hurricane is the first result of efforts in this area. |

Group Members
Sylvain "syLem" Lemaire, in charge of the whole nine yards, kind of... In other words, in charge of programming, sampling, and generally goofing off... :) Special thanks to my "Project F" buddy, Mike Wheeler, for technical help and overall patience with me, not to mention a set of killer drum sound samples! :-) |
|
Instruments
Mostly guitars and electronica, complemented by bass and drums, of course... :-) |

Albums
Pot-Pourri (formerly Emotions), Quiet Hurricane (the latest release), Farewell to the Millenium (as one half of Project F), and Project F also contributed a piece to the Adored Compilation by Sue Braiden (see link below). |
