Artist description
Formed in the early part of 1999, this Long Island, New York-based band creates music that has been described as "modern rock" by some and "pop/rock" by others. Its members have been drawn from various cover-bands and original projects from the LI area and have since developed their own distinct flavor of music. Whether it is a melodic ballad with a sharper edge or a heavier rock piece with a touch of class, the sound is best described as the "Sudden Earth" sound. |

Artist History
In September 1998,founding members Lynn Hocker, Bill Jablonsky, and Kevin Conkle, began what was to become Sudden Earth. The final lineup was completed several months later with the arrival of Rick Wolanski and Gregg Tilger. All established players and songwriters, Sudden Earth began as an all original project. With a wide variety of influences and styles, the band quickly became a vehicle to record and perform their own music with their own distinct and recognizable sound. They recently completed recording a 5 song CD and are now actively performing their music in the Long Island area.
In late 2001, the band restructured and became Dark Franklin. Check out www.DarkFranklin.com for the latest info and songs.
