Artist History
Monique Harcum is an accomplished vocalist, who's versatile style has beenutilized by such artists as Mike McCary and Shawn Stockman of Boyz IIMen, Stonecreek recording artist, Uncle Sam, Hola Record's Voices ofTheory, Columbia Record's R&B artist, Kimberly Scott, jazz bassist, Jammaladeen Tacuma, Latin percussionist, Pablo Batista and various other up and coming artists. Monique has also lent her voice to several corporate commercials and voiceovers.She has also had an impressive stage and screen career which has taken her to Europe performing in the Broadway hit musicals, "Hair" and "Little Shop of Horrors" which she performed entirely in German. Monique, a talented (dancer, was featured in Spike Lee's, "Malcolm X" and was commissioned by Boyz Il Men to choreograph for' several of the artists on their Stonecreek recording label. These experiences have helped her to enhance her expressiveness as a singer/songwriter/performerAs a member of the five part harmony singing group lmani, she has opened for such acts as Boyz II Men, TLC, Tony Rich, Regina Bell, Gerald Levert and the late Phyllis Hyman. Monique co-wrote "I Am" from the Emmy award winning program, "The Sounds of Philadelphia", in which Imani was featured.Her latest venture has lead her to branch out on her own creatingMusic that is straight from the heart.
