Artist History
Nigel Ayers is the only composer currently working who can be described as possessed of genius.Many years ago he gave up on the idea of individual "authorship", and most of his recordings since then have been made with the assistance of disembodied beings from the spirit world.He has lately been collaborating with living people he has never met, most recently Mick Harris (Scorn, Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, John Zorn, Bill Laswell, Terrorvision) and John Everall (Tactile, Coil, Current 93, Crass, CCCC, Conflict, Crash Test Dummies, Can) who participated in the making of this "Mesmeric" CD.The recording sessions of "Mesmeric" were so intense that as a side-effect Mick Harris smashed up his studio and vowed never to make another record. John Everall has cut off all contact with the outside world and was last seen worrying sheep in rural Wales. He previously worked only with bands with names beginning with "C". Nigel Ayers has survived the sessions mentally and physically intact. He is currently rated as 4,000 times more psychic than Yuri Geller. |
