Artist History
Homespun began in Brisbane, Australia in late 1998. In the year following, they performed before a variety of local audiences who embraced their unique sound. The band's original line-up included members from Sydney, Brisbane, Los Angles, and New Jersey. Their music has progressed considerably since its inception over a year ago and the band endured several hardships along the way. They played extensively throughout Queensland including the Story Bridge Hotel, the Press Club, and a 2 month residency at the Brunswick Hotel in New Farm. However, the recent relocation of songwriter/guitarist, Greg Rogers, has brought the band's unparalelled sound and large repetoir of original material to an unfortunate (but not permanent) end. Singer/songwriter, Kurtis Richmond, and bassist Ian Sheward are now touring with well-known Brisbane band, Miso Jones, while drummer Craig Richards and horn players, Tim Robinson and Gary Honour have gone on to participate in other musical endeavors. |
