Inside this Newsletter 1ParadiseParadise and Flow start their platinum collaboration. 2FlowThose summer nights was da bomb. Ms. Ivey’sParadise and Flow are hooking it up.The sexy, beautiful and dynamite rapper Paradise, wants to collaborate with the silky, soul artist Flow. Paradise is veryclose to completing her cd and has been considering several producers for the final 2 or 3 songs. When askedhow they got together, Flow said, “I saw her do her thing live at a club one night and she blew my mind.” “I toldthe promoter to give her my number so perhaps we could get down.” “She didn’t call for awhile, and I waswondering what was up but she finnally hit me up so it’s on.” Neither one is saying what’s going down in thestudio but you best believe with those two it will be sexy, soulful and funky as hell.Flow’s new single “Summer Nights” is silky smooth. Those who knowFlow from his live show will be exited about the new single release “Summer Nights.” The track is filled withthe velvet vocalizing and silky groove that is Flow’s trademark. The song is also composed and produced byFlow. “I had to have complete control or I wouldn’t be saying what I wanted to say.” When asked if he feltconfident in his ability to handle making a quality product from start to finish, Flow responded, “I did a gang ofpowerful session work for Ken Franklin at K-lou studio so I knew I could do the job just as good or better formyself--no problem.” If you like smooth, funky grooves, then check out this one. If you’re already a fan, whatcha waitin’ for. He Turned It Out!Flow did his thing once again for his loyal fans and new comers at Ms. Ivy”s Saturday night November the 14th. Hebegan his set by getting the audience to sing a chorus while he laced it with his personal introduction. They loved it. Then he broke into a slow song he calls his version of happy birthday (nothing like the traditional) this was writtenespecially for one of his female fans. Then he hit them with “Summer Nights” which had everyone’s head bouncing(some fans even sang along). The final joint was “Bump City” which features songstress/rapper Keyairra. Bump Citywas the perfect closer to a perfect set. The crowd was jumping. Flow said, “It was like good sex, I just felt like I could goon giving it to them strong all night long.” “When they’re feelin’ you like that, you wanna just make it good to ‘em--andthe more they respond, the more you wanna make ‘em feel it.” Flow gave it to them good and strong that night. He put itdown like only Flow can. Yeah, he did that! Inside the FunkyFountain 1Nothin’ But A Jam YallFlow is doing his thing again. One Mo’ TimeAgainAll the fans are buzzing about lastmonth’s November 14th party at Ms.Ivey’s. The word is “Flow, he wasthe bomb.” For those of you whohelped to make it a full capacitycrowd and also for those of you whomay have missed the jam, let meprovide you with a brief recap on howit all went down. Flow began his setwith a funky groove intro he calls“Just a Party.” “Just a Party” was anaudience participation thing. Flowinvited the audience to give himenergy and got them into singing thechorus as he laced it with some ofthe soulfullestimprovisational/freestyle singing Ihave ever heard. The crowd was intoit totally from the start. Flow went onto give his own version of “HappyBirthday” (nothing like the traditional)to one of his female fans, which setthe mood for “Summer Nights”, whichis also the album’s first singlerelease. Every head in the standingroom only house was bouncing. Finally, Flow hit them with “BumpCity”, which features up and comingrapper/singer Keyairra. “Bump City”was the perfect end to a perfect set. Flow was on, Key was on, what can Isay the crowd went wild. I asked Flowhow it felt to get such a positiveresponse from his fans. Flowresponded, “There’s nothing in theworld quite like this.” “It’s theenergy...you give them energy, theygive you energy and pretty soonthere’s just a real live party going on.”“You want everybody there to feelwhat you feel and just have a goodtime.” The holidays are a time thatwe spend with our families and Flowsays that he considers all of his fansto be his friends and part of hisfamily. “I’ll be spending the holiday’spartying with my family and friends.” “If you miss even one of thesegatherings, it just wouldn’t be thesame.” |
