Press Reviews En voilà un groupe atypique... Visez plutôt la tenue des 4 zigues qui le composent :Puddles Mc Ginty porte un marcel rayé, des lunettes noires et une casquette « tête de mort ! » ; Ex Ray arbore une coupe à la Desireless et a sorti un veston en peau de puma (synthétique?) pour l’occase ; en ce qui concerne BJ Party Boy Slim, c’est costard traditionnel pour le haut et jogging pour le bas ; le meilleur pour la fin avec Riff Raff qui est torse nu et à qui on a greffé une tête de clebs. Vous voyez le tableau... Le fait que la musique de Chupacabra Jr. parte un peu dans tous les sens n’a donc rien d’étonnant. Sur les 3 1ers titres, on remarque des influences irlandaises marqueés au niveau de la voix (qui sent l’alcool) et plus généralement pour l’ambiance (joyeuse) : Rancid meets The Pogues en très pop-rock. Cependant, je préfère de loin ce « Crazy Mixed Up Nut » aux accents plus métalliques. La démo se termine par une ballade instrumentale acoustique trop indigeste à mon sens. Bref, il y en a un peu pour tous les goûts sur ces 5 morceaux.
