Artist History My first exposure to music was classical violin and piano, both of which taught me the importance and power of tone and melody. My life changed forever when my dad bought me the Smashing Pumpkins' album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" one day from Target at Warringah Mall in the larger city of Sydney, Australia because it was a double CD and was therefore better value! It was my first exposure to rock songwriting, and is still my favourite CD. My dad gave me an old rusty Gibson hummingbird copy acoustic guitar around this time and showed me a couple of chords. For my next birthday he bought me my first electric guitar - a black Gibson "The Paul II". That night I wrote my first song "Salvation in Darkness". It started out as a warm full distortion progression of E C G D in simple open chords, because those were the only ones I knew! Since then I haven't been able to stop songwriting. I have also acquired a beautiful 70's hollow bodied cherry red Gibson ES-335 and my pride and joy: a black and green acoustic Gibson EC-10 which I do all my songwriting on. Music is the one thing on this earth that gives me a deep sense of happiness. To me Music is life.
