Artist description
ayee – pronounced like the letter I. It is not uncommon to hear the scream of aye-ee at shows. It has come to be taken as a term of endearment from friends and fans alike. Radio stations are beginning to catch on, and the band has been getting good response in Jacksonville, Fl (Planet Radio 93.3), and West Palm Beach, FL (Planet Radio 92.1) as well as Internationally in Quebec, Canada. Through the internet, and MP3.com, people have been responding from around the world with positive reviews and encouragement.
Currently playing shows throughout Florida, ayee, and its armada is growing – quickly. The intensity of these gatherings has brought all types of people together. A buzz has been growing within the industry and with major label awareness it has caused national acts such as Tantric and Oleander to come to shows. Crowds have felt compelled to start moshpits and sing-along with the band.
So what does ayee sound like you may ask? Many have tried to nail the sound to a particular style but none have really been able to pinpoint any one genre. The music is diverse, but at the same time relative. Oscar Reeds vocals are powerful. Intense does not begin to describe the feeling in his words and presence. His lyrics sing of pain, but yet are positive and speak of promise and reassurance. Dan and Frankie’s heavy guitar style compliment each other and add depth to the madness. Eddy’s solid bass lines and funky rhythms lock in with J.C.’s hard hitting, tribal fury. Together, they create an illustrious collage of emotions..
