Artist History Wouldn't you like to hear that Alpha Dog is a collection of highly respected studio musicians who had enough of being the talent behind various big name artists and decided to break out on their own? Maybe you'd prefer to hear that the lead singer of the band is the prodigal son of a famous sixties rock star? Perhaps Alpha Dog is the pet project of a popular Hollywood actor looking to make a name for himself in the music industry. Is the band's bass player a former '70's teen heart throb trying to break free from his past? Maybe the band came from humble beginnings, rose to super stardom only to come crashing down to Earth. Is this the road back from obscurity? The answer: none of the above. Simply put, Alpha Dog is the music of song writer Mark James Seitz performed from time to time with a friend or two. Mark plays all the instruments, except drums (performed by Warp 3 drummer Jim Pavett) , and sings almost everything on the debut album "sit". All the music is recorded in his home studio, by Mark himself. In fact, the only time Mark ventured outside the confines of his home studio was to record the drums at Pavett's Allusion Studios. So why not call it a solo album? Who cares! Sit back, enjoy the music.
