Artist description Uncontrolled Substance represents another aspect of KC's music. Where the the music of Technician:KC is firmly in the Techno/Trance genres of contemporary electronic music, Uncontrolled Substance allows the exploration of the many hybrid musical sub-genres of what might loosely be termed World Electronica. As the name suggests, Uncontrolled Substance is not limited to, or by, any particular style or sound. It has no rules to follow. Ethnic and traditional music influences combined with today's sounds and technology. It is eclectic 21st Century music. Drawing on the many forms of music, ancient and modern, from around the world that have inspired me, and from the sounds of many cultures. Some the pieces may have started from a rhythm that inspired me; some from the way a certain sound resonated with me; some from a mood or emotion experienced; whatever the original inspiration, the final results are rarely predictable when a piece is started. I'm always interested in remixes and collaborations so if you hear anything you like and want to work with, get in touch.

Artist History I've been involved in various music projects for many years. However the last few years have seen the introduction of the technology that allows me to create the music I want. This has led to a huge increase in my output - and the quality of it. The music is created on a PC using a number of different packages. Sounds may come from sample CD's, from my keyboards, guitars and percussion, or from visiting musicians. These sounds may be used as they are or manipulated, processed and treated in various ways until I have the 'right' sound for the music.
