Artist History
Trick Purpose was formed in the Spring of 1997 in Seattle, Washington. The core of Trick Purpose is the artistic collaboration of DaveAndrade and Eric Harris. Andrade is a guitarist/composer from the San Francisco bay area who incorporates classical and jazz themes into pop music arrangements. Through a rich combination of textured guitar/bass lines and varying time signatures, each production takes the listener through fresh pop musicscapes. Harris is a vocalist/percussionist from New Jersy who effectively combines soul, R&B, and classic rock vocal approaches with a unique and appealing voice timbre. Through vivid story telling and catchy melodies layered over Andrade's arrangements, Harris creates infectious vocalarrangements that convey beautiful imagery. Although each artists separate contribution is interesting, it is the synergy of thecombined full arrangements and the clever productions that make the artistic collaboration special. |
