Artist History Sunflower was formed in 1993 in Beaumont, Texas, by five high school friends who shared the same love for music and a common dream. In 1993, Sunflower relocated to Austin, Texas to pursue that dream. Since, the band has released two full length albums on independent label, LoveSpell Records. Sunflower has supported such acts as 311, Better Than Ezra, David Garza, Violent Femmes, Def Leppard, and others. In 1998, the members of Sunflower mutually agreed to pursue other musical interests. However, the songs are still available and the band hopes to record more unreleased material in the near future.
