Artist description MICA is Jens (29) and Michael Dommes (35). The two brothers grew up in Hamburg, Germany. Since they moved apart in different cities (Hannover - Hamburg) and now in different countries (Hannover, Germany - London, UK) they keep up their long distance music relationship via weekend trips, telephone and internet. Their music is a mixture of 70ies funk and Easy Listening à la "Air" One recognizes the charme of old seventies (b-) movies and quotations reaching from Gorgio Moroder, Isaac Hayes to funky arrangements a la Christian Bruhn ("Captain Future" soundtrack). All in all a unique experience for the audience. The two brothers love instruments and therefore most of the instruments are played by themselves or by friends (vocals and flute). Their aim is to use as less samples and loops as needed.
