Artist History
After playing in several bands through a bout with a "liberal education" (per New Rebulican Anthem), I ventured forth to save the world. For quite a while, I was engrossed in a career as an environmental chemist (what got into me?). Along the way, I played coffeehouses and kept these songs alive, but never gave the music the time that it deserved. I even got sidetracked into acting (SAG/AFTRA). My recent move to the desert, however, has brought with it a renewed energy for the music. |

Group Members
All Powerpop Now!! instruments, arrangements and vocals were performed by Tim Anthony Scott. I'm currently entertaining the idea of taking this on the road with a band. |

Press Reviews
Tim Scott is Powerpop Now. "Whatch'ya gonna do? is a collection of Alternative-Pop-Rock songs with some attitude. This is not a CD filled with sugar coated pop gems mind you. This is music with some guts and it's a little rough around the edges. Not for the faint of heart to say the least. Scott is able to speak his mind and get across his message with some straight ahead rockin' songs. Elements of alternative, rock and a tad of punk angst for good measure is all part of the mix. Scott's voice is slightly unpolished but it seems to fit very well for the type of music he plays. All the compositions are by Tim Scott and he plays all the instruments as well. Originality is alive and well in cyberspace. Keith Hannaleck, www.muzikman.com Powerpop Now!! - Progress (2.44M).....TTT (out of 4 T's) As in most bands, the vocalist in Powerpop Now!! is the main point of focus, and he sounds peculiarly like a hilarious cross-breed of ancient crooners, Tony Christie and Gene Pitney. The song isn't up to much, sounding like some kind of weird 60's mod gubbins after being introduced to computerised loops, but the singer steals the band an extra 'T'. God knows what this lot would be like live.... Ian at http://surf.to/twang |
