Artist description Most of the music on this CD was recorded live by the people of Msambeni and the few small communities served by Father John Correa in the remote 12-km stretch of no-man's land along the border with Tanzania deep in Kenya's south. The roads are rugged and dusty and Father John reaches these people in a rusty 2-door Toyota Corolla. It's not uncommon for him to break down on lonely bush trails and be stranded for hours, even days until some other vehicle happens to come by. Life can be hard in this remote district but these people are not looking for handouts. This is a grassroots project to generate income for community resources and sustainable development projects. Profits from this CD will help them meet the financial demands of surviving into the next century without compromising their lifestyles or their fragile environment. Produced by T. Almeida and O.
