Artist description
Employing very open-minded (but sometimes strange and twisted!) creative process, I am interested in combining wide variety of sounds and instruments: from acoustic and ethnic to programmed, sampled and synthesized. The result is often quite surprising - most songs never end up where they started. With changing rhythms and evolving dynamics each song is a little story of its own. Freely crossing boundaries between different genres, music seems to project images and moods that take a listener for an adventure. |

Musical Influences
There are really too many to list but let me put it this way: from psychedelica of early Pink Floyd to transcendent voices of Dead Can Dance; from effect heavy remixes of old Dub masters to earthy sounds of Peter Gabriel's label Real World |

Artist History
Started recording in 2000. After building a home-based recording studio,
I started to work on my first CD "Waterworld". The music is a refreshing
mix of electronica and elements of dub and reggae. Towards the
end of 2001 I begun experimenting with new sounds and
currently I'm working on a brand new side project. |

Press Reviews
"Artsy Electronica with a Reggae groove. Good, mellow out music." www.somuchtosay.com.
"Art Sonic captured our imagination with his hot island sounds and cool cool melodies. Quoting Lee Perry and King Tubby amongst his influences, he displays a remarkable feel for the island rhythm - and watch out for that guitar." www.theloft.com
"Head tripping effected vocal spin around the mix landing underwater only to emerge
with the likes of a guitar.A signature bassline surfaces to lay out the dub effect.
Hihats and snares feed into long resonant echoes supported by a lounged out guitar lead.
Synth sounds wash the atmosphere while new elements are introduced.
Arrangement changes quickly leaving the listner on the edge trying to hang on.
Production is outstanding and shows a good sense of knowledge in the art of manipulation.
