Artist History Formed in August 2001, Smürk immediately clicked and started writing brand new material for their upcoming full length CD. The band’s sound mainly focuses on high energy riffing rhythms combined with complex yet solid percussion. The vocals top the various layers of this cake with catchy harmonies and melodies. Currently the band is independently run and produces it’s own music in the small studio at the band’s practice facility. The current promo CD, Smokin’ Dubes with the Duler, was recorded and produced and engineered by the bass player (aka. Dr. Lhung). The goal of achieving quality and a level of professionalism equal or above any current entertainers in the market is a principle the band tries to adhere to. This keeps them focused on providing a package their fans will appreciate and it comes through in the live shows and recorded music. It may take a little time for people to appreciate the band’s detail, subtlety and dynamics but that means it won’t grow stale when something new comes along. It is still early in the band’s life cycle but the experimentation and diversity are starting to seep through. Not only is the band solidly poised to produce good music but their potential to change and adapt seems limitless.
