Artist description
A DJ with no discs. So just a J. I'm just a Jockey then. But not the kind who ride horses. Although I'd like to do that, too. I guess you could call me DJ as in Desktop Jockey. Or maybe a Digital Jockey. Or a Damn Jerk. Or Dodecahedron Jim. Or any acronym of DJ if you like. |

Music Style
Big Beat is the best catagorized description I can think of. I guess it kinda traverses a variety of styles. You know, labeling yourself with one style or gimmick is just handcuffing yourself. It's simple: just try a little not to think in terms of established style patterns, and you quickly realize how much more freedom you have. |

Musical Influences
Anything with substance. Genre is pretty irrelevant I reckon. "Influences" for me range from Autechre to Pantera to Orbital to Tool - but I ain't one of those "I like anything" bastards. I hate those guys. I only like the good stuff. |

Artist History
In 1976, I was an arrogant sperm cell with huge ambitions. The ambition still exists, but the little swimming tail has long since fallen off. Though through the aquisition of a brain, large feet, and a computer, I've been able to do a few productive things. These songs are some of them. |

Instruments
My exalted computer, whose name is: The Peice of Shittiest. The Piece of Shittiest is loaded with the motleyest assembly of sound shareware and crap you can shake an e-stick at. |

Press Reviews
SPIN magazine had a whole pile of good things to say about Grooverider. I'm not Grooverider. I've never even heard a Grooverider song. But the Willard Cochrane Daily Herald did have this to say about it - "Willard Cochrane's music kicks mighty ass and shit!" Plus the Scarlette Cochrane Daily Press also had this to say - "Hey, Will, you're stuff is getting better! Really, I'm not just saying that cuz you're my brother!" |
