    Artist description
Slow Motion is a Greek band formed in 1985.Since then, one trait continues for them: The need for a background of spiritual architecture behind each song, visualising a conscious, theoretical method of communication. An energy of self - transcendence behind an important and weighty musical investment, which is abstracted like a ceremonial litany – an invocation of a self-destructive religion. Slow Motion seem to be always proceeding steadily into an icy-fragile, unexplored and sometimes perillous musical landscape, that tends easily to become part of a whole life, a conscious dream full of existencial space/time philosophical theories, that are transmutated into a delirium, into petitions and prayers, dreams and nightmares through their songs.Without giving any importance to achieving an external polite formality, in practice, they have achieved their goal and express the feelings they experience, the magical isolation and individuality, through their many recitals, given mainly in greek marine caves and jaged clifcoastlines at a level that awakens distant lost dreams inside everybody’s soul, internal worlds of search and metaphysical abstraction.Their two LP’s (“This Slow Motion” and “Viaticum”) were produced in 1988 and 1990 respectively, and sold out almost immediately managing to transmit this kind of lost quality, and turning their later recitals into almost cinematic projections combined with visual, choreographic and theatrical elements. They composed the soundtrack to Dimitris Merantsas film “Portes”, which won prices at the Drama film festival, and created the framework for the film “in slow time we hope” also taking part in many musical collections.Selections from their internal musical projects “I will remain (1990), Re.isolation neg.(1993), Anagram(1995), Dissolve(1996) and Life support cables(1997)”, form the “Blind transmissions” CD, that was released during 1998 together with their two LP-to- CD reengineerings from C.A.P.P., with a near-sounding atmosphere influenced by many songs ranging from from the 80’s dark gothic scene, to the most avan-guard investigation of present day techno-ambience trance composers. The year 2000 was the year of the 'exponential symphony in an entity that wasn't' new CD production launched at march 2001.
