Sara Groves, a former Minnesota English and History teacher at Rosemount High, wanted to preserve her songs as a gift to family and friends. But what started out as a personal recording soon blossomed and even landed her a label deal --- which she turned down to remain an indie. She started the evangelistic, non-profit organization Past the Wishing Ministries (P.O. 7294, Mpls, MN 55407-0294, 612-822-1949) with her husband, Troy Groves. That very project called (you guessed it) Past the Wishing, is available through PWM and should not be missed - a real neo-folk/pop treat.
