Artist description Native of New Orleans’ 3rd Ward, Mac describes himself as “…an old-school (rapper) in a young man’s body.” At 22, he’s been making records for 10 years, signing his first deal at age 12. His debut release, “Shell Shocked,” set the stage for his latest album, “World War III.” On this album, Mac places you on the frontlines of life’s battlefields, exploring topics such as street hustling, a friend’s betrayal and raising children. Mac treats each track as a mini-movie, rhyming with such vividness that you can see the events unfold as you listen. Fellow No Limit soldiers Master P, C-Murder, Ms. Peaches and Mia X join Mac on “World War III.”Following Master P’s lead, Mac has started his own charitable organization, the Black Lions. The Lions go into inner-city schools and teach minority teens the importance of voting and having a political voice. Mac also is grooming his group, the Deadly Apostles, for their debut album.
