King Virtue's KingVirtue.com "Moving On"
After two years of professional service, King Virtue has departed from Homestead Technologies' web hosting for his Official site. Homestead's web service was King Virtue’s first choice for web hosting back when his site was first launched in the fall of 1999, shortly after the release of his "Story In My Head" album. A quaint site that began with limited graphics and .wav files soon evolved into a haven for all things 'King Virtue'. In July 2001, KingVirtue.com was re-vamped into a mega-site where visitors could be updated on the latest news as well as skim through the archives of King Virtue's history. Bonus materials of the site included rare and unreleased mp3s including live songs, b-sides and obscure cover songs by artists like Madonna, Hole, Grand Funk Railroad, Britney Spears and even a song from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Amesircle Records insists the downsizing of the Official web site will not effect the quality of King Virtue's web presence. KingVirtue.com will continue to lead visitors to everything they expect from a well-rounded site including music, images and all the latest news. Furthermore, the linking of the domain directly to King Virtue's online store is aimed to greatly enhance the marketing power of KingVirtue.com. No longer will fans have to search for links to buy the albums because the domain will lead them straight to the product, while still offering track listings, artwork and sound clips as well as links to full Mp3s.
The budget cuts throughout Amesircle Records are not aimed to hinder but ensure that King Virtue will be able to continue recording and distributing music for years to come. Since the beginning, the money made through the music has been generously re-invested back into the recording and distribution of the music, creating a cycle where the music pays for itself. As a result, this recording artist, whose studio time and equipment are essential for growth, is able to continue recording and releasing new music.
King Virtue has already released more albums than most artists do their entire careers but he insists that he will continue to write and record new music as long as he feels inspired. "It has nothing to do with quantity over quality," insists King Virtue. "It’s more about me writing about what I have experienced. I always try to put 100% into every song I write while staying honest to myself. For this reason, even today I am able to enjoy all of my works including my very first songs, which to this day still mean a lot to me. Every album I have written defines that period of life that I was living. My music is my diary."
King Virtue did a handful of performances in support of his latest album, Kristallnacht but for this recording artist, the studio is where he feels most comfortable. "I enjoy performing my songs to a live audience," says King Virtue, "but I feel working in the studio is where I express myself the best. It’s fun playing acoustic versions of my songs, but my records are the best place to get the full effect of the songs."
King Virtue has plenty of projects in the works including his latest single "Moving On" and compilation contributions. "Christmas with Madonna" will be featured on WSVNRadio’s Christmas album and his rendition of "Woman" will be featured on Rocktrack Records' Brother Cane Tribute CD. Both discs are to be released in 2003. King Virtue will also be a part of a multimedia project called "The Polishing of Metal," by Emperor Multimedia Group Ltd.
