    Artist description
"I survived disco...But just barely!" Take a look around any inner city. You will see the 'hip', 'hype', 'fly' and 'cool', on the streets, doing their 'thang' (whatever that might be). But you'll also see the 'ol' heads!' You know, the old cats who were 'cool' in their day, and are still 'cool' today. J. A. Moore has experienced the changing musical tides; the social and moral turbulence; the political enigmas of six decades; and can still ask the question... "Can we slow grind after this funky dance, baby?" Can we?
    Music Style
    Funky dance and slow grooves
    Musical Influences
James Brown, George Clinton, Curtis Mayfield, Jimi Hendrix, Earth Wind and Fire, The Isley Brothers and many more!
    Artist History
    J. A. Moore's musical talents were first revealed as he lay across his old bed. He began to tap the metal bed springs with a toy mallet. That led to a brief but intense study of the xylophone. His studies continued with woodwind lessons. Soon, he discovered that the hard streets of Baltimore are not the place to be walking around with a flute. While hanging out on the mean streets, J. A. Moore discovered the percussive quality of the huge mailboxes that sat at almost every intersection. He became one of the city's best mailbox percussionists. J. A. Moore began writing songs and honing his musical skills, eventually studying theory, keyboard and strings. Upon acquiring his 120mHz PC and a Yamaha PSR, he began to realize his musical dreams, and thus, is presented to you. Chill.
