Artist description
Damon Savich has been the vocalist, lyricist and frontman for several different Prog-Rock bands from 1982 to present day. Tracks here will represent all stages of his career, ranging from basic "Heavy Metal" (circa 1980's) with SLASHER, through progressive metal (with a nod to Queensryche) as *ISCARIOT . We'll stroll through the nineties with FOREVER'S END, MINDCAGE and the theatrical "comic-book heroes" band, ENDLESS DREAM, before journeying into the 21st Century with a revamped version of "Endless Dream" ...with longtime buddy, Jim Abercrombie. As of this date,...February 21, 2002, "Endless Dream" has decided to revive the thatrical concept that has long been a trademark of Damon's various recording groups, and the tendency is to breath new life into the band. Be on the lookout for a new "ENDLESS DREAM" project within the coming months. Sit down in your most comfortable chair,... or dub these to to tape or CD and hit the highway for an hour or so. After you've given them a good listen, we're sure you'll want to pick up the Damon Savich "Methodology of Madness: Act I" D.A.M. CD, and go check out Damon's other works on MP3.com... *Filed at MP3.com under ENDLESS DREAM, ISCARIOT, SLASHER and now... DAMON SAVICH ! |

Artist History
Originally breaking into music with 80's metal act "SLASHER" (1983-1985), Damon and the rest of the band decided to change the group name to "ISCARIOT" during a whirlwind tour of the Southeastern U.S., with the first official ISCARIOT show taking place at Fat City (New Orleans) during Mardi Gras in 1986. Damon Savich, together with guitar virtuoso Dietrick Hardwick, aloof bassist Brian Howell, and drummer Craig Nudo (who was given the nickname "One Take Nudo" by Journey drummer Steve Smith, after he recorded fifty-plus minutes of drum tracks without a click-track, or any musical accompaniment) toured extensively in the late eighties. Supporting such accomplished Metal acts as Savatage, Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, Kix, and Quiet Riot, the band built a loyal following and was featured on several compilation discs. With the departure of Brian Howell in 1990, the band continued on with Damon's brother, Markus Daimeion, on bass and new drummer John Crowther for a brief period under the moniker "FOREVER'S END". Markus carried on with FOREVER'S END (now appearing on MP3.com), when the group experienced writing difficulties, and Brian Howell returned shortly thereafter. The result was a new band-name, "MINDCAGE", and a side project pairing Damon & Brian, called "ENDLESS DREAM". Damon developed the "Endless Dream" concept originally as a comic book, and subsequently each member of the band became a specific character from the strip. The project had been shelved indefinitely until November 2001. ENDLESS DREAM is currently seeking a recording contract, and taking auditions. Damon and Jim Abercrombie have taken a break from the semi-successful "Seizure 69" concept to work on other projects. Look for ENDLESS DREAM on MP3.COM in the coming weeks. |
