Artist History
With a DMX ruggedness and endless supply of tongue twisting Kool-G Rap metaphors, EL da Pro keeps it ruff for the fellas and real for the ladies. " Hip hop is on a course that we direct by what we bring to the music, and that’s what I think about everytime I write." As a member of Eric Sermon’s Def Squad, El da Pro recorded "Nick Nack, Patty Wack" on the EPMD "Business as Usual" album. While the skit on that album placed EL da Pro on tour with the Def Squad Crew, his distinctive voice and signature twist of metaphors made El da Pro an artist of rare substance. Born in Alabama, this New York’s Corona, Queens resident is a rap chameleon. El da Pro credits his father, Prince, Kool-G-Rap and Yellow Man for the inspiration that has molded his career. With coined innuendoes, and curving metaphors ready to blow is Corona’s own El da Pro. |
