Artist History
After leaving the seminal Mexican electronic band 'Bongomaniacs' [now the 'Silikon Junkies' collective] DJ XL moved to America, where he started performing and making music as a solo musician. In 1997, he joined the Bloomington Electronic Music Coallition and one of his early tracks made it to their first volume compilation. A year later, DJ XL (now under the drxl moniker) joined forces with turntabilist adario (aka DJ Clave) and started performing as a band, sometimes accompanied by other local musicians. That same 1998, they recorded their first demo with the recording assistance of Teknored at his SINcorp studios in Mexico City. In 2000, right after laying down the basic tracks for their second demo, adario left for Boston and DJ XL for Mexico City, where he has continued recording and producing |
