Artist History
It all began with the Commodore 64, the first computer with a dedicated synthesizer chip that I soon stretched to its limits to create some interesting sounds. As soon as I got my first keyboard, the Casio SK-1, a simple sampler and basic synthesizer, I began trying to integrate sounds and samples into short sequenced patterns. In college, I got my first computer system with a sound card and MIDI setup. I used a Casio MT-240 to get the hang of MIDI to record a representation of the musical information instead of the sound. I got into techno and ambient music and started DJing after being introduced to it in 1992. Then in 1994, I decided to use some of my hard-earned money from the summer before to purchase an Oberheim Matrix 6, a digitally modeled analogue synth, and a Roland 505 drum machine. I was finally able to make music. Since then my collection of electron taiming devices has grown along with their power consumption. |
