Artist description
Avery's music is worth a listen. And a RE-listen. This soulful musician can tear through a piano lick, hook you with a mean melody, and kindle some sweet-scented candlelight in your heart. And that's not even mentioning his vocal chords! You'll think you died and went to Stevie Wonder heaven when you sit back and listen to this man's infectious and magical voice. So give yourself a musical transfusion of Avery right now. It's a double-click you'll be glad you took. |

Artist History
Avery's got music in his veins, and its clear where he got his talent once you know his family history. Avery's uncle wrote Marvin Gaye's classic “Let’s Get it On” and his cousin was a member of the crossover success Surface. But as a musician, Avery has created his own style by working his groove all over the southeast…singing and playing keyboards...sharing the stage with Mint Condition, Total, Silk, Xscape, and Jessie Powell. He’s also been "gettin’ it on" with the Atlanta-based gospel group Innerfaith, where he sings, plays keyboards and serves as musical director. Innerfaith plays countless concerts throughout Georgia and has opened for God's Property. All this hard work is starting to get this up-and-coming talent noticed -- Avery recently won a national award in the Billboard Songwriting contest. |
