    Press Reviews
Las Vegas, NV 10/2000 (Kids America Productions) Snapper MaGauhey "Emily doesn't so much push to get to high C as much as once she is there, she has to pull in the reins so high C isn't overwhelmed with the depth and power and resonance of her palatial voice. How many other 9 year olds have to reserve themselves, else they might easily vault over the bar which is the landmark barrier to many of the world's performers? Profound new standards will be set by Emily Hamilton. There is only one manager-teacher-coach in America who's loving, gifted attention to prodigal child performers was the right down for this dove. His was a symbiotic relationship about which all other managers of gifted children will hunger." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - "I've always liked this song [The Lass With The Delicate Aire] and this is a lively interesting treatment. At 11 years old, Emily Hamilton is no Charlotte Church, but she has the potential to be that good. She has a lovely sweet voice with a versatile range and some neat technical skills (such as the trills she occasionally throws in). Sometimes her voice takes on a sharp edge that suggests she may be reaching a bit too far. This problem will probably vanish as her voice matures. I look forward to hearing what she sounds like in a year or two. This arrangement with the string quartet is a perfect complement for this young singer's voice. I have always considered this song to be folk, but with this arrangement I can understand why it's in the classical section." - (Bob MacKenzie)
