Artist History Gustavus Gricius and all his friends and family helping out started Vicious Poet. Hailing from outside the city of Rochester, NY Gustavus has been in several bands since he was 15. He started off playing violin at the age of 3,and then guitar with his friend Andrew Slayton in early 94. Slayton is an excellent guitarist who has 10+ years of playing experience. They were the original band Vicious Poet.Gustavus then went on to start singing for a band called Stereo Type. This band disbanded in late 1998.Gustavus, who is now a political science major, decided to rebirth his new projectusing the old name from his start. He said "I need the constant escape that my music gives me."Andy joined back to reunite the original duo in mid-99. Soon to have an album released sometime in late 2000 titled "My habitual Sorrow and it's Sulky Whisperings" With the addition of Jon Duffy VP is now a threesome. :) nm
