Artist description
A loose-knit group of musicians who enjoy playing
and recording -completely- improvised music
(improvised beginnings, endings, lyrics, etc.)
just for the hell of it. Although the resulting
music is rarely polished, it's always fresh! We
try to meet the creative force on it's own terms.
And well, sometimes we organize a tune and record
it in the traditional way. |
 |
Music Style
Mostly improvised stuff. Some bluegrass. Some rock. Some wild stuff. |
 |
Musical Influences
Frank Zappa, Leo Kottke, Miles Davis, The Doors, Russ Barenberg |
 |
Similar Artists
William Orbit, The Doors, Russ Barenberg |
 |
Artist History
After a period of attempting to create music in
the traditional way, the Rhythmic Exchange
decided that we had more fun when we simply
improvised music. After years of unfettered
improvisation we can almost intuit the musical
direction of our fellow musicians while playing. |
