Artist History
once upon a time in october of 1998, two industrial design majors were coming back from chicago in a van after a field trip. this was the birth of the band that is now known as damascus road. matt wertz and lee steffen collaborated for 2 shows in 1998 as 'sometime sunday' then 'my springtime'. after deciding on the name 'the matt&lee show' for the year 1999, more members were added, filling out the band. matt met bassist mike rabbatt through friends at the university of illinois, and percussionist paul carter at campus crusade for christ. the name was changed and the rest is history. |
