Artist description
If four blind men came to describe us, you would get four different descriptions. The songs are the only description that is useful. But if you need a physical description here it is: anywhere between six and sixteen legs, eyes, arms, ears and nostrils; the hair would be brownish, the gender would be not entirely male. |

Artist History
The Mythbelievers have eaten a lot of food since they started playing music together. Many other things have happened, too numerous to mention, so here is the skinny version:Then:Winter 1984: drank beer and played music. Winter 1985: were two or three bands, played shows every weekend for six months. Summer 1985: lost summer days. Fall 1985 to Fall 1987: played at art gatherings and generally acted like young arteests. Stopped being able to eat food, so got jobs. Winter 1988 to Present: eat food and play music whenever possible. Formed as Mythbelievers in 1989 when it was discovered that music saves your mortal soul. (it is truth, my sibling, and if you doubt me, you and I will agree.)Now:Live in Chicago, do a few shows each year; record and jam incessantly. Check in 30 years from now at Mythbelievers.com and view a body of work bigger than TAFKAP's. |

Press Reviews
Wesley Willis (Mr. Magoo goes to Jail):"...The show was a rock and roller. The crowd got down to the taste of the band... The show was a molecular blast. A lot of people got to meet the band. These guys can rock the house. They can really jam the guitars... The rock show was awesome." |
