Musical Influences
Brian admits to being inspired by the classic guitarists of the Sixties -- Hendrix, Page, Clapton. He shuns effects and electronica because he feels it masks the emotion that he injects into his playing. With an assortment of Marshall amps and a handful of Gibson and Fender guitars he is able to get a wider variety of sounds than most guitarists can create with a dozen effects boxes. Dave's musical roots lie in the Seventies. His favorite songwriters are Jimmy Webb and Elton John. His choice of drummers is not surprising -- Neal Peart and Carter Beaford |

Artist History
"I know so many people," Dave often says, "who are trying to get ahead but keep falling behind. They believed the promise that if you work hard you'll do better than your parents, have your own piece of the American Dream. But that's not the case anymore. So they start asking themselves what's the point, where's this all leading?" The music of Johari's Window is for them.
Lyrically, the songs are based in everyday experiences - the questions we ponder, the images in our dreams. Musically, the songs are a welcome relief to those who are weary of the rap and dance dominated music scene -- those who long for melody in their music.
