Press Reviews
ScratchMagazine- 8-2001 “A melodic punch in the face," said Tom Cardillo, percussionist of
Force of Habit.
Straight out of the depths of Dixie-Atlanta, Georgia, this raw
display of heavy metal power was born in September of 1996. In addition
to GooberT, Force of Habit consists of Dean Willis fronting the band in
the vocals slot, guitarist Cameron Hunter, and bass guitarist Mike Spidle.
The sound of FOH is like no other, blending a variety of musical
ingredients into a sweet yet rough frappe of metal. Through common vision
and addiction to the music and live show, FOH has come to show their
worthiness of underground respect.
“We all hang in there because of the love for what were doing,” said
Hunter. “You also have to really believe in your dreams and follow them
no matter what.”
FOH has two demos titled Force of Habit from 1996 and Breaking the
Mold from early 2000, featuring four songs each.
"We're a pinch of funk, a dash of rock, and a healthy dose of metal,"
said Hunter. "It's baked until smoking!"

The talents of the group "Force Of Habit" shall not be denied and gets high marks on their delivery of songs "Known" and "Force Of Habit". The heavy drop metal beats driving the song "Known" pulsates you into a hypnotic groove directly from their true funk metal style...appealing.
The versatility of this group is apparent in the song "Force Of Habit", here they switch gears into a soft funk rock layered with a "Santana" groove while the mellow vocals never lose the essence of their "metal funk" sound.
eSoundz gives FORCE OF HABIT a "Must Hear"!
FORCE OF HABIT
Demo
Independent
A heavy melodic band coming out of Atlanta, Force Of Habit show some interesting ideas and are quality musicians and songs like the burning 'Force Of Habit' show that the band are headed in the right direction, but it's early days yet and this three CD set of demos shows signs of a band experimenting with their style like on 'Wondering Why' which has a jazzy melodic feel to it, maybe even Toto come to mind with hints of Saga and maybe even Stone Temple Pilots.
So overall a nifty selection of songs showing power and diversity and a band to watch out for in the future.

If you haven't heard of Force of Habit then you need to get your head out of your ass. From Atlanta, GA, Force of Habit brings back rock to rock your socks off. As the band likes to say, "Force of Habit had laid waste to many stages and have left mutitudes of fans gasping for more of their funked-up metal mayhem!!" Even though this is a promo CD it showed the abilities and endless talent of the band. With a song like "Fly" (a personal favorite) it's truly shows Dean's vocal abilites as a singer and the bands out of the world talents with Cameron, Mike and GooberT. I must say that you Freakz need to check out these guys!!
Overall: Force of Habit...is a force to reckin' with! Review by-Serge Entertainment 10/01/2002(sergeent@aol.com) Reviewer-Sandy Serge
Force of Habit - Self titled EP
With Sevendust, Injected, doubleDrive and others, Atlanta is trying to
carve a niche as a new hotbed of metal. Force of Habit is adding their fuel
to that fire, and if this three song debut EP is any indication, it is some
serious nuclear fuel. Bits of funk, classic and southern fired rock sneak
into the gritty hard drive of the songs; think King’s X and B. O. C. with a
splash of maybe Molly Hatchet, primarily in the gutsy but harmonic vocals of
Dean Willis. Explosive guitars from Cameron Hunter and the tight but
intricate rhythm groove of drummer GooberT and bassist Mike Spidle flesh
out the well-crafted songs which have serious power without blowing your head
off with too much noise. URL: www.ForceofHabit.iuma.com E-mail:

Force Of Habit - "Demo '02"
Location Atlanta, GA
Initial Impression With all the trouble I had getting this CD, I was afraid it was going to suck. Thankfully, it doesn't.
Notable Lyric "Down in my soul, you know. I love you, force of habit." - Force Of Habit
Factoid FOH was in the top 20 in the "Heavy Metal" category at IUMA.com, and the top 20 at BeSonic.com for "best unsigned heavy metal band."
Serve With A shot and a chaser.
Comments This demo contains three hard-rocking songs that hearken back to the late 70s-early 80s heavy metal. Bottom-heavy bass, lith guitar solos, hard-hitting drums and deep, effective vocals.
