Artist description
We're something new in the ska world. We have two trumpets, sax, trombone, drums, guitar and bass. All the horns have taken high school band, so there is a bit of jazz influence. We like to mix it up alot, we range from a mexican shakedown to a funk song, a little traditional ska to some instrumemtals. Alot of our music is based on live performances, getting the crowd involved, and always playing something you can really swing to. Maybe a christmas carol or two, we play for the show, not for the record. |

Artist History
Late summer of 97, Lauchie macdougal was asking Simon jelliffe (guitar) to start a ska band. Since I was in a punk band with him at the time (DCU), he grabbed me and a few friends to hook up. We started playing at all ages shows, parties, traveled a bit around the island, did a few bars and even shared the headline for natal day at the charlottetown civic center. We've recorded an album. We've changed a few drummers, lost a horn, gained another. We really look for the Big band sound. |
