-----------------Coma Lodge have studied some of this decades trendy guitar bands. With guitars that sound like the Smashing Pumpkins or Bush, "Rice on the Fly" has plenty of power and energy.
"Rice on the Fly" begins with a shimmering guitar
and vocal introduction. Suddenly the guitars,
bass and drums all get turned up to 11. Dynamic
changes keep the song from being overwhelming.
The lyrics are unintelligible, and the singer,
Jim Schryburt, has a clear and interesting voice.
Not overflowing with melody, "Rice on the Fly"
will nonetheless connect with the college kids.
