Artist description
Clip is a rock group based in Chicago. The band creates their sound with walloping female vocals that tease and taunt, guitar that hooks you in and swallows you up, bass that crosses over to the dirty side of us all and drums that rock steady and hard. The group's debut album, Life Without Blinking, was released in December of 2001. They are currently in the studio recording their follow-up cd. |

Press Reviews
"Color me impressed. On their full-length debut, Life Without Blinking, Clip have emerged from the cocoon of their influences (Siouxsie, P.J. Harvey, Curve) to become a bad-ass rock n' roll butterfly in their own right. Layering drum n' bass loops and synthesizer sounds onto a solid alterna-rock foundation, Clip work this now-familiar angle better than most, keeping the music's rock core raw and nasty, but without muddying the electronics. No longer drifting uncertainly between the rock and electronic sides of the street (as was sometimes the case on their demo EP), 'Life' sees Clip picking a lane and shifting into overdrive." -- Emil Hyde, 100% Unnatural |
