Artist History
Awkward Stylistics/A.S. Octopussy documents the period before band leaders Cufi and Cosmo formed the band El Pus. This shows their tendency to expand the boundaries of hip-hop...contorting it into the shape which they most desired. Featuring Mike (Bam-Bam) Todd, this group was extremely popular in the Houston and Atlanta music scenes until the groups reformation in 1998 into the band El Pus without Todd. These recordings, taken from the period immediately preceding this change, were ahead of their time and still sound fresh...in all senses of the word. |
