Artist description
There's not much to describe about "the band" here - considering I'm it. Monkey Machine is a one man show for the most part. I write, play and record everything (except for some lyrics here and there). Most of the music is written without concern towards political correctness or anyone really liking it. I just kinda do whatever pops into my giant head. The songs range from the typical whining about past relationships to other things that to this day I'm still mystified about. Most of the lyrics aren't too cryptic. For the most part what you hear is what you get with me. The whole thing is done in the wonderfully uncomfortable and humid oddzone known as my room in my nutty apartment. So there you have it. Maybe someday there actually will be a band to talk about in "the band" description. |

Artist History
I've played in a couple bands here and there and have always been into writing music or stories or something to kill time. After fizzling out from the bands I played in I just decided to plug in, fart around and see what oozed out of my guitar. My friends would come over and we'd stay in the room all day or all night writing musical nonsense. One day there might be a song that burps out and the other some drunken poetry. We never really knew and that's what made it so fricking fun. So years rolled by and eventually we cranked one hell of a stockpile of songs. Inspiration took hold, I grabbed my trusty four track and started whipping some tunes into shape. And now, through the wonders of insomnia, sugar, caffeine and a lot of time on my hands, they're here and available to the general public. |
