Artist description Mikhail Kollontay is a Russian composer and pianist. Currently he is a Professor of Piano at the Moscow State Conservatory.

Artist History Mikhail Kollontay was born in 1952 in Moscow. From early childhood he began to compose music while taking lessons from a Georgian composer Nodar Gabuniya. After attending music school where he specialized in piano, Mr. Kollontay was admitted to music school attached to the Moscow Conservatory. In 1971 he entered the Moscow Conservatory which he graduated in 1977 as a pianist (class of Professor Vera Gornostaeva) and in 1978 as a composer (class of Professor Albert Leman). In 1979 Kollontay became a member of the USSR Union of Composers.
