Artist History
Makif has been performing since 1992 and has supported The Roots, Pato Banton, Freddie McGregor and Daddy Freddy amongst others. He released the Soliloquy Ode EP on Buggin Out Recordings in early 1998 to critical acclaim (Muzik/HHC magazines). The band was formed by Makif aka Quillis in February 1999. They go by the name of Makif. They have played the Red Eye (London), Live Theatre (Newcastle), Assembly Rooms (Derby), Fiddlers (Bristol), Dubble Bubble (Nottingham) and others. Look out for the new album 'Mayonnaise Vs Ketchup Syncope' on Buggin' Out recordings in early March 2000. |
