Artist History
Pete, writer-composer, started off in punk bands in high school. After being in rock bands in college that always sounded like somebody else,he decided to record his own music. The early death of his father, though tragic, also inpired him to do this as he realized that life is short and staying in stale bands was futile. Starting with a 4 track he began recording the bass, guitars, and vocals himself in a home studio. He wanted to combine Grunge and hip hop which at that time were his favorite music and "wala" the CHUGU sound saw its birth. As the talent and equipment got better he had a new passion. To perform live. He tried playing his songs with an accoustic guitar at coffee houses but that went nowhere, the sound was to heavy. He now as a group with a couple friends,Tom and Marcela, and perform around the Los Angeles area. |
