Artist description Ben Selkow is an enthusiastic and driven singer/songwriter well known in the city of Trenton, NJ for his compelling and captivating live, acoustic performances. Although Ben is not currently signed to a major label distributor, his ties with Trenton's foremost independent record label, Flaves Entertainment, have given him a limitless freedom to express his art by any way necessary to move and inspire his listeners. Known to his peers and audience as "Post Modern Folk", Ben's style covers a multitude of musical genres and tastes anywhere from rap to rock to funk to folk to everything in between with the use of only his voice and one guitar track. Unique to say the least, Ben's emotional and often dramatic song development and stage presence easily appeal to almost any music lover, whether they can actually see his artistic vision or simply hear it.

Artist History Ben Selkow has spent the past two years creating and promoting his two full-length albums, (…From Plastic To Porcelain, The Dramatic Romancer) as well as writing the poetry and foundation for his two next albums, (Saving Faces, Sad Songs Don't Sell) and his very soon to be released e.p., "Superhero (Super Selkow)". Ben has performed and hosted the musical activities in cafes and clubs all around NJ, from Ocean City to Princeton. Along with his solo act, Ben has been known to perform with his band, "Friends Of David", featuring Trenton's most known and loved underground hip-hop and spoken word artist, Shawn Lov. Ben's solid and critical fan base has kept him active and motivated to compose powerful and equally "catchy" songs that are worthy of artistic as well as commercial recognition. Ben has thus enjoyed airtime on college radio, (his song "Soulmate" making the Top 20 List for a month) as well as the honor of being a featured artist on Mp3. Com for several songs several times and having the fifth best selling record in Pop/Rock for over two weeks. As his presence is strongly felt in the local music scene and his advancement in the industry continues, Ben plans only to expand and refine his songwriting and increase the quality of his albums and live shows.
