Artist History The Peace was formed in January of 1999 when Luke and Richard, apart from both being northern gits, discovered their shared passion for the greatest of the twin-guitar rock bands Thin Lizzy (check out a short Lizzy biography). So, anyway, we started rehearsing. Nick and Dave joined in June ’99 just in time for a début gig at the 1999 Cambridge University Physics Society Garden Party. Dave—still a great friend—left in order to pursue other musical interests (i.e. Invisible Touch) and Tom joined in early October 1999 to take over on drums. Nick retired in February 2000 to pursue other interests.The band recorded its first demo (Uncorked) over the weekend of 21–23 July 2000. Big things are now happening.
