    Artist History
The Flying Snowman started playing guitar at the age of 15. At 16, he formed his first band, for which he composed the songs. Ever since, he has been composing a lot of songs, working on several projects, all quite different one from another. After forming the hard rock band "Bloody Crime" (1976) and the blues-rock band "The Mirrors" (1978), where he not only composed the songs, but also played the guitar and sang, he joined the pop-rock formation "The Seconds" (1981). They won several contests and got on a compilation LP twice. He then joined "Boots" (1985), a funk-rock band, still writing songs of his own, of which several were being performed by the band. When he left the band, he concentrated on solo projects, which were instrumental songs mostly made on synthesizer: "Visions Of Foreign Countries" (1986), "We're All Televisions" (1987), "Umgawa!" (1988), and "Stories From The Blue Moon" (1990). He did live shows and visual acts with these. Then he formed "Meanie's Boiling Boys" (1989), a pop-rock band, together with female singer Meanie, who he worked with for 8 years. When the band got signed by Tempo Records in Belgium, they changed their name into "Kiss The Bride", and reformed the band at the same time. The music became more Britt pop influenced. They recorded two singles, "When The Love Is Gone", and "Sometimes It Just Ain't Enough", both released in 1995 and distributed by EMI Belgium. After endless discussions with the record company, with whom they couldn't agree on which musical direction they wanted to go, Kiss The Bride left Tempo. The band split up right after that, because Meanie was being offered a contract as a solo artist for a techno project with another record company. Since then, The Flying Snowman has been producing several artists, among them Indiana, two girls that sing mainly pop songs. He wrote, recorded and produced "Not Afraid Of The Dark", "Heart's Beating Wild", and several other songs. "Not Afraid Of The Dark" was released by Polygram Belgium in 1997, and became a radio hit. Currently, The Flying Snowman is working on a world music project with a Tibetan girl singer.
