    Press Reviews
'The music on Elements combines ambient textures, with 20th century classical influences. So the music tends to be soothing, yet features bursts of eccentric melodies and themes. The melodies are quite original sounding. I'm reminded of a Gamelan orchestra playing Bela Bartok mixed with relaxed 12-tone ideas (rather than strict 12-tone theory). Fans of ambient, movie soundtracks, and 20th century avant-garde will really enjoy Minico' (Steve Hegede, the progressive rock webpage) ***** listeners-feedback: 'listening to the MINICO CD and Eno's The Drop recently I was sure I heard elements of what Eno calls Ju-Ju Space Jazz in your CD, and especially Eno's track 'Iced World' reminded me of your work. In fact I though some of your tracks conveyed this idea better than Eno's!' ***** 'Good music for meditation' ***** 'The music here reminded me a bit of Frank Zappa's Fairlight experiments (I couldn't tell you why exactly). This music to me sounded like a soundtrack to some (fairly abstract) movie, a bit like Tuxedomoon/Aqsak Maboul made, or John Lurie. Strange music for strange films, so to say.' ***** 'I really liked its strange other-world quality' ***** 'I keep listening to your mp3 samples over and over again. I love this Stuff!!' ***** 'the new CD was absolutely wonderful, and not only did Ilisten to it when I received it in the afternoon, I was still listening asI fell asleep that evening, and I put it in my car this afternoon. I really, really like the second CD'
