Artist History
Looking back you could say Lonesome Highway got its start originally back in 1983. It was at that time the four members were all attending Hampshire High School in Romney WV. They helped to form a Bluegrass club that met once a month for a few hours, where they traded licks and jammed along with other members. That was when the current configuration of Lonesome Highway actually played together as a group for the first time.No one really gave any thought at that time about starting another group since everyone already had a gig. It wasn't until 1996, when the four came together once again as a kind of "throw_together_group" to play a few gigs at a local nightclub, that they realized the potential for a new band. After a few months they were presented with more opportunities and decided to give it a try. Since then they have been entertaining very receptive crowds in and around their hometown and have built a substantial and growing local following. |
